Born in Pueblo, Rebecca managed a large production, wholesale, retail, and entertainment farm in Ohio for years before becoming an educator. She taught English Composition, Developmental English, Adult Basic Education (ABE), GED preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL), and in a pre-college bridge program for former offenders. Now, she is the Disability Resources Advisor at Pueblo Community College, where she specialized in reading difficulties. After a significant stroke, Rebecca discovered first-hand the challenges of aphasia after a brain injury, affecting cognition, reading, writing, and speech, and she became even more determined to help her students and the community. She is proud to represent Pueblo and southern Colorado.
