MINDSOURCE community grants provide funds to competitively selected Colorado organizations and individuals to educate, create awareness, and fulfill other projects that offer innovative training approaches to professionals, parents, survivors, families and the general community about brain injury. Two levels of award are possible: 1) up to $10,000 for a maximum of 12 months or 2) up to $20,000 for a maximum of 24 months (up to $10,000 each year)
A couple of featured past recipients include:
Helmet Heads, an organization that used community grant funds to deliver free recreational helmets and helmet-safety education to students in Title I Schools.
Domestic Violence Initiative was awarded a MINDSOURCE community grant to incorporate TBI awareness training to all of their outreach efforts over two years.
