
Russha Knauer is a Probation Services Analyst with the Division of Probation Services in the State Court Administrator’s Office in Colorado. Ms. Knauer serves as a project lead on several initiatives, including Strategies for Behavior Change, Motivational Interviewing, and Brain Injury Screening and Support Protocol. Other areas of focus include implementation science and coaching for development. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and Masters degree in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver. She began her career in juvenile justice as a counselor, Assistant Director, and Director for licensed treatment facilities working with adolescent males placed out of home. She transitioned to a position as a Client Manager / Parole Officer with the Division of Youth Corrections, then to her position as an Education Specialist with the Division of Probation Services before fulfilling her role as an analyst. Russha’s main areas of educational concentration focused on use of implementation science to execute new practices into existing criminal justice agencies. Professionally, Russha completed the Path to Supervision course in 2014 and Judicial Executive Development Institute in 2016. Additionally, Russha is a member of several boards, committees and networks, including of the international Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT), Colorado Implementation Collaborative, Global Implementation Society, American Probation and Parole Association, Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado, MINDSOURCE Advisory Board, and MINDSOURCE Trust Fund Advisory Board.
