Dawn is a Professor of Epidemiology at the Colorado School of Public Health who completed the CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service public health training program after earning her doctorate from University of California San Diego/San Diego State University in 2002. Prior to joining academia she worked with State Health Departments in Oklahoma and Iowa as well as with the Navel Health Research Center in San Diego, CA. Since 2005 she has directed the National High School Sports-Related Injury Surveillance Study and has published numerous papers on sports-related concussions among high school athletes.
